What You Will Do

Design new and improve existing manufacturing processes and methods, tooling, automation, and work instructions, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles Review engineering documents, then create a Bill of Materials and a Method of Manufacturing in ERP system Schedule jobs released by planning Expedite jobs through their respective processes Ensure optimized CNC programs with the Programming team Coordinate tooling and material readiness with the Programming, Planning, and Purchasing teams Disposition Nonconformances Communicate and develop outside processing suppliers. Work with purchasing and quality Plan and establish route of projects and jobs through the shop, create details for and schedule each operation a given component or assembly will go through Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards Lead projects that will reduce lead times, internal manufacturing costs, and will improve process control and yield Identify and resolve quality and production bottlenecks, involving key decision-makers as needed to maintain efficient workflow Prepare documentation, including SPC sheets, in-process prints, and work instructions, in the ERP system Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or 7 years of work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience manufacturing assembly Experience in using one or more CAD based design programs such as Solidworks Proficiency with Microsoft suite Insight with the inner workings of a machine shop Demonstrated knowledge of CNC machining manufacturing that includes part programming and fixturing Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as Epicor Strong knowledge of quality control methods with the ability to perform thorough inspections on components Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Work effectively within teams to support the shop floor and resolve production issues Understanding of and familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen and/ or similar improvement techniques

$72,800 - $120,000 per year
