A law firm seeks a skilled Real Estate Associate to join its Energy & Infrastructure practice in Boston, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, focusing on real estate aspects of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of real estate experience and be eager to engage with clients across various stages of the project lifecycle, including development, due diligence, and M&A transactions.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on real estate issues related to energy and infrastructure projects, including title and survey matters. Support transactions across the full project lifecycle, from development through to M&A and financing. Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on complex real estate aspects of energy projects, especially within the renewable energy sector. Conduct due diligence, review project documentation, and provide legal guidance on title, survey, and land use issues. Assist with the structuring and negotiation of agreements, including those related to debt and tax equity financing for energy projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient legal support throughout all stages of energy and infrastructure development. Requirements
3-5 years of relevant real estate experience, with a preference for experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Proven expertise in title and survey matters, particularly within energy-related projects. Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Membership to the Massachusetts State Bar is required. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar is required. Skills
Expertise in real estate law, particularly in energy, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects. Strong legal research and analytical skills. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
