This role requires a strong leader with technical expertise, operational excellence, and a passion for sustainable luxury hospitality. Leadership & Management
Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team to deliver world-class service. Create and manage department schedules, training plans, and performance reviews. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and sustainability. Operations & Maintenance
Direct daily operations of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, elevators, and mechanical equipment. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. Respond promptly to guest and team requests while maintaining service excellence. Capital Planning & Compliance
Develop and manage capital expenditure projects and budgets. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (safety, environmental, fire codes). Maintain accurate records for inspections, permits, and certifications. Sustainability & Efficiency
Champion 1 Hotels’ sustainability mission by identifying opportunities to reduce energy, water, and waste. Partner with corporate sustainability teams to track performance metrics. Integrate eco-conscious solutions into engineering practices and vendor partnerships. Prepare and monitor department budgets, operating costs, and capital expenses. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for maintenance, repairs, and services. Lead emergency response efforts (fire, power outages, natural disasters). Ensure safety and security of guests, team members, and property assets. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred). 7+ years of engineering/maintenance management experience in luxury hotels or high-volume hospitality. Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and energy management. Proven leadership skills with ability to build and motivate teams. Excellent financial acumen with experience managing budgets and capital projects. Strong commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly operations. Core Competencies
