Ironclad Defense Works (IDW) is seeking a highly qualified

Security Professional

to support NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, VA. This position provides critical cybersecurity engineering expertise to ensure the protection of NATO systems, networks, and sensitive information. The Security Professional will design and implement secure architectures, conduct risk assessments, integrate security into DevSecOps workflows, and support enterprise-scale mission systems. This role is ideal for experienced cybersecurity engineers with a strong background in NATO or defense environments. Key Responsibilities

Engineer, implement, and monitor organizational and technical security measures across NATO environments. Identify, define, and document system security requirements aligned with NATO standards. Design secure architectures and detailed cybersecurity solutions supporting enterprise-scale and mission-critical systems. Deploy and configure advanced security tools (e.g., Nessus, Prisma, Qualys, Burp Suite, OpenVAS). Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and incident response planning. Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with NATO frameworks. Collaborate with developers, administrators, and product teams to ensure security is embedded across system lifecycles Required Qualifications

Citizenship of a NATO member nation. University degree in ICT, Information Security, or related field. Active

NATO or National SECRET (or higher)

clearance. Proven experience in engineering, implementing, and monitoring system, network, and application security. Hands-on expertise with vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, firewalls, and related tools. Familiarity with security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH. Strong communication skills, including ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences. Fluent in English (oral and written) Desired Skills

Experience supporting NATO operations or multinational defense environments. Demonstrated ability to contribute to policy development and forensic investigations. Track record of integrating security into Agile/DevSecOps workflows. Application Instructions
