What You Will Do Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation. Participate in selecting and presenting furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting. Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction. Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts. Communicate design ideas effectively through hand sketching and/or digital graphics. Create material palettes and inspiration image boards independently. Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators. Support communication among project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and regulatory officials. Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges. Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction in Revit. Coordinate project team efforts for plans, specifications, and material selections, ensuring design intent is maintained in construction documentation. Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control. Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives. Create 3D renderings using software like Enscape to communicate design concepts. Your Qualifications Experience in interior design roles as described above. Resourcefulness with creative materials, furniture, and fixtures. Excellent color sense and passion for design. Strong graphic, organizational, communication, and time management skills. Self-motivated, dedicated, and efficient. Enjoy responsibility and teamwork. Interest in both big picture and detailed design. Facility with 3D conceptualization, digitally or by hand, is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school. 5+ years of post-graduate interior design experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong visualization skills for effective communication of design ideas. Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, with portfolio examples of LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, Fitwel, or Net Zero projects, especially built projects.
