Your new role
As our new Consultant, you will be part of the Northwest Air & Climate Team, which is part of Rambolls Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Rambolls clients with their most challenging problems. The Air Quality Planning Group consults with clients across various government agencies and industries on a range of topics, including but not limited to emissions estimation, meteorological, dispersion, and chemical modeling.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Conducting meteorological modeling/analysis, and air quality modeling studies using chemical box models, dispersion models, chemical transport models, and others
Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
Analyzing modeling results and other datasets to achieve projects goals
Contributing your technical skills on complex projects to provide creative solutions to our clients in a collaboratively environment.
About you
Candidates should have a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric or Environmental Science, or a closely related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 2+ years of experience, or an M.S. in the same fields with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Candidate should have experience in air quality or related areas such as atmospheric chemistry, meteorology, modeling, emissions processes, or satellite and remote sensing; air quality coursework is a plus for both degrees.
Experience with air quality models (box, dispersion, trajectory, or chemical transport models), graphics software (GIS, NCL) and strong programming skills (Python, FORTRAN, other structured languages [C, C++], R, MATLAB, IDL)
Exposure to predictive AI, machine learning, data science and analytics, a plus, but not required
Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
Demonstrated ability to work in small and large team environments collaboratively

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $68,730 - $98,800. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
