Senior Tax Accountant

Our growing tax practice located in Westlake Village, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing a variety of tax returns and a deep understanding of California tax law. This position offers a competitive compensation package, opportunities for bonuses, and excellent benefits. Key Responsibilities: Prepare individual, partnership, multi-member LLC, S-corporation, C-corporation, and fiduciary income tax returns. Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, with a particular emphasis on California tax law. Conduct thorough reviews of partnership, multi-member LLC, and S-corporation returns, focusing on basis and PTE calculations. Utilize Lacerte software proficiently for tax preparation and compliance. Stay updated on tax regulations and changes, providing accurate and timely tax advice to clients. Assist in tax planning and consulting services for clients. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless client service and project management. Qualifications: Minimum of four years of solid experience in tax preparation across various entities, including individual, partnership, multi-member LLC, S-corporation, C-corporation, and fiduciary returns. Proficiency in Lacerte software is required. Well-versed in California tax law, with specific expertise in basis and PTE calculations for partnerships, multi-member LLCs, and S-corporations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. CPA certification preferred but not required. Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience and proven track record. Compensation structure includes a combination of salary, tax season bonus, and benefits. 100% PPO medical insurance. 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO). 4% matching 401(k) plan. Paid Continuing Professional Education (CPE). Potential for a hybrid work schedule after one year of employment, depending on ability, productivity, and successful integration with staff and clientele.
