N/A Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) is responsible for
originating, managing, and closing residential mortgage loans
while providing exceptional service to clients. This role focuses on
building strong relationships with clients and referral partners
to drive business growth and ensure a smooth lending experience. Key Responsibilities: Loan Origination:
Identify, qualify, and guide borrowers through the mortgage application process.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, real estate professionals, and referral partners to generate and sustain new business.
Credit Assessment & Documentation:
Evaluate borrower information and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Loan Processing & Closing:
Collaborate with internal teams to manage loans efficiently from application to closing.
Compliance & Regulations:
Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and bank-specific policies and regulations.
Business Development:
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline through proactive outreach and relationship building.
Customer Education:
Advise clients on mortgage options, rates, and processes to help them make informed decisions.
Position Requirements: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent lending experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2–5 years in residential lending or related financial services.
Licensing:
Must hold or be eligible for
NMLS licensure .
Skills & Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to originate and close mortgage loans.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of lending practices, credit assessment, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Physical Demands / Conditions / Equipment Used: General office environment with flexibility for remote work as needed.
Standard office equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and lending software.
