About Our Client I'm partnered with a global, billion-dollar manufacturer/distributor in Schaumburg, IL. This company is in rapid growth mode through key strategic acquisitions, and they are now looking to bring on a Plant Controller to their growing team.

Reporting into the Director of Finance, the Plant Controller will be a true strategic business partner to supply chain, operations, and logistics teams across 40+ distribution/manufacturing centers. In addition, you will own and build out the cost accounting processes and procedures, and continue to drive process improvements within the team.

The Job

Plant Controller Responsibilities: Implement cost accounting process improvements and procedures for use within multiple departments within the organization

Conduct the monthly analyses of supply chain pricing and costs to track and develop management reports for senior leadership

Maintain the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly pricing files to create and distribute pricing data reports throughout the company

Oversee the preparation of the sales and cost components for the budget to ensure the margin is similar to direct costs and product pricing

Create product numbers and costing runs in the system to maintain standards and help prepare monthly journal entries

Collaborate with auditors when necessary to help assist with the inventory process, verify counts, and investigate unusual inventory activity

Participate in company ERP implementation process

Assist in ad hoc costing activities and analysis as needed

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Manufacturing industry experience needed

Cost accounting experience needed

Supervisory/management experience nice to have

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred

System implementation experience nice to have

Strong written and verbal communication skills
