Responsibilities

Allan Myers is seeking an eager, hardworking, goal-driven Project Engineer passionate about heavy civil construction. This role involves collaborating with the Project Team to plan and support construction engineering projects, ensuring progress meets deadlines in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs. Responsibilities:

Work with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop effective construction plans and schedules, determining means and methods to meet project goals. Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information, disseminating them to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with standards and design details. Identify, order, and coordinate delivery of materials such as pipe, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc., working with the Project Team and Purchasing Department to finalize purchase orders and subcontracts efficiently. Manage RFI and submittal processes, maintaining project control logs in CMiC. Handle owner billings and related accounting tasks. Assist the Project Manager with developing Change Orders and documentation. Monitor safety compliance among all workers and subcontractors, in coordination with the Safety Manager, maintaining safety files and reviewing schedules for safety requirements. Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in construction management roles such as estimating, operations, or engineering; heavy civil experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; ongoing construction education is highly desirable. OSHA 30-hour certification required. FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred. Knowledge of contract administration, job costing, change management, labor and equipment reporting, planning, scheduling, preconstruction planning, and safety policies.
