R-0007018**Job Description Summary**The individual in this senior developer role will enable the AMS technology team to develop the database-centric solutions that are required to support the improvements to the AMS systems and business processes that have been included in the AMS Modernization roadmap.**Job Description****Responsibilities:*** Oracle Database Development: Create and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and database schemas* Low-Code Application Development: Design and develop low-code applications using Oracle APEX to support business users* Database Optimization: Analyze and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage* CI/CD Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes* Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all projects* Plan and Execute Development Projects: Collaborate with both the technology team and our Business Partners throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and level 2 support, ensuring high-quality deliverables.**Technical Skills/Experience:*** Experience with Oracle SQL including analytics and windowing functions, dynamic SQL and set operations* Experience with PL/SQL development including packages, procedures, functions, pipelined table functions and other database objects* Oracle SQL performance tuning using profiling tools, optimizer hints, query refactoring, table partitioning, and index design (including index-organized tables)* Understanding of Oracle's automatic and manual locking mechanisms* Experience with developing custom exception handling in PL/SQL* Experience with Oracle APEX for low-code development* Experience with Unix and Shell scripting* Experience with job scheduler tools such as BMC Control-M or Autosys* Proven track record working in both waterfall and agile SDLC frameworks* Knowledge of the Financial Services industry including middle and back-office functions* Experience in collaborating with business counterparts to understand detailed requirements* Excellent verbal and written communication skills**Preferred Skills:*** Experience with SQL Server and MS Access* Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL* Experience with web application development using java and Angular* Experience with cloud technologies like AWS* Understanding of data governance frameworks**Education**Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science (Required), Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering**Work Experience**General Experience - 6 to 10 years**Certifications****Travel**Less than 25%**Workstyle**HybridAt Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view.
