Overview

We are looking to hire a Systems Engineer 1 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area. TS/SCI Clearance with a Poly required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time. Salary: $160k Responsibilities

Serve as the organizational administrator for Confluence and Jira instances with strong administration skills. Create and modify documentation from SOPs, training materials, and timelines using Job Qualification Standard (JQS) for the needs of different teams. Produce clear, accurate documentation that is easily understood by new team members; track team access and training compliance to prevent lapses. Manage system and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with defined DoD system architectures. Maintain and author systems engineering documentation including System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), and formal requirement specifications. Ensure system and functional requirements are consistent with mission objectives and driven by Mission Operations. Coordinate and facilitate cross-discipline technical reviews and boards (e.g., Triage, MRB, JRR; CDR/PDR; design reviews; program/test reviews). Manage alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and annual design refresh cycles with Product Engineering Leads (PELs). Assist in defining verification processes and evaluation criteria for systems/subsystems/work products in support of formal verification plans. Contribute to system design efforts that meet defined requirements and fulfill outcomes of functional analyses. Support requirement path planning using Jira by helping define and approve requirements, interfaces, designs, and test procedures. Aid in the implementation of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) solutions for offsite system integration. Standardize architecture/service views using DoDAF guidelines within Jira and Kibana across core and sister organizations. Train PELs on systems engineering documentation, requirement execution, and hardware/collection requirement alignment. Lead coordination of verification planning with stakeholders to validate new/unproven designs early in the development cycle; present plans to leadership for approval. Create time-dependent function analyses using Jira for leadership-level reporting and planning. Manage requirement baselines and proactive change control through Jira; ensure continuity through lifecycle refresh and early replacement planning. Provide engineering direction for development, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software components—supporting requirement elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation. Establish and enforce formal coordination procedures for system integration efforts across multiple organizations and programs. Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required. No CCA's will be accepted for this role. Seven (7) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
