Job Description
Leidos is seeking a proactive and adaptable ISSO to support cybersecurity operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role is critical to maintaining the security posture of information systems and ensuring compliance with federal standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across technical and security teams, while remaining flexible to support broader program needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the ISSM in maintaining the operational Information Assurance (IA) posture across systems and enclaves. Review and approve change requests, audit logs, system accounts, and vulnerability scans. Maintain and monitor system security policies, procedures, and configurations. Perform daily security operations and assist in managing system security aspects. Prepare and review System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, and A&A documentation. Coordinate with system administrators to remediate vulnerabilities and manage POA&M status. Provide configuration management for security-related software, hardware, and firmware.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related discipline and 8 years of related experience; in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Possess a current DoD 8570.01 compliant certification for IAM Level I or higher Understanding of the RMF, NIST and CNSS cyber security requirements and guidance, and cyber security related risk management techniques. Demonstrated experience preparing and maintaining SSP or security related documentation. Proven ability to manage compliance timelines and adapt quickly within dynamic regulatory environments. Prior experience as an ISSM, ISSO, System Administrator, or CSSO supporting DoD and DCSA security requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated and capable of working independently. Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting security audits of information systems. Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, NESSUS and DISA STIGs. Experience with DoD implementation of the RMF and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DSS, etc.).
