JOB DESCRIPTION
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the SE Team, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of infrastructure systems that support enterprise applications and services.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem environments. Implement automation for system provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring. Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to ensure secure and compliant system operations. Optimize performance and availability of enterprise systems including compute, storage, and networking. Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues. Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures. Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.
Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations. Expertise in Linux and Windows server administration. Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC. Experience with automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet. Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), service mesh technologies, monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus), and logging frameworks (ELK, Fluentd). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2). Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in fintech or regulated enterprise environments. Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise networking. PAY RANGE The targeted base salary for this position is $84,500 to $126,700 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
