We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer responsible for leading the vulnerability and patch management program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our macOS and Windows endpoint patching processes. This role is critical in ensuring the security, stability, and compliance of the bank’s endpoints. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain our patching infrastructure, ensuring timely and effective deployment of security updates and patches. Responsibilities

Manage Varo’s vulnerability management program meeting the required SLAs Deploy patches to all of Varo’s endpoints and standalone servers Manage the onboarding of endpoints in a highly remote environment Develop strategies to mitigate risk on Varo’s endpoints including device trust, zero trust, and local password management Assist with incident response and purple team testing Investigate and resolve patching issues, including failed installations, conflicts, and performance impacts Generate regular reports on patch compliance, vulnerability status, and overall endpoint health. Maintain accurate documentation of all patching procedures and configurations Qualifications

4+ years of managing patch deployment and vulnerability management Proficiency with patch management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Kandji/Jamf, Automox, or similar enterprise-level platforms Strong understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems, including system-level processes, command-line interfaces, and registry Experience with a vulnerability management tool such as Tanium Some scripting experience (shell and/or bash and powershell) Experience with zero trust networking solutions Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 a year This role is also eligible for a bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
