REQUIREMENTS Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials and complex litigation experience in intellectual property and technology cases. A bachelor’s degree in a major that qualifies the candidate to sit for the United States Patent & Trademark Office bar exam is required. Strong research and writing skills are necessary, along with a demonstrated desire to be a trial lawyer. Successful candidates will also have strong creative problem solving, interpersonal, organization, planning and communication skills. The ability and willingness to report regularly and effectively with senior attorneys on the team is a must. In addition, the candidate should enjoy the challenge of understanding complex scientific and engineering concepts. They should also be skilled in case management, have the ability to take on assignments and work with team members both efficiently and effectively and with a collegial and entrepreneurial approach. Being capable of shifting focus, adapting to changing priorities, and maintaining professionalism under pressure is required. Individuals who are results-oriented and self-starters with a high level of initiative and work ethic will find themselves at home.
Applicants must be admitted, or eligible to become admitted to practice in New York. Admission before the United States Patent & Trademark Office is optimal, but not required.
