In this strategic role, you will help automate deployments across all environments and ensure our systems run smoothly and securely. You'll work closely with a passionate team of IT professionals, software developers, and scientists in a highly collaborative, supportive environment to accelerate life sciences research and advance the human condition. Automate & Streamline DevOps: Own, design, and implement cloud automation and integration solutions to improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows, continuously refining our infrastructure delivery processes and tools. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Configure and manage our cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, with Azure experience as a plus) - including networking, security, IAM, compute, storage, and Kubernetes (EKS) - following IT best practices to ensure high availability and security, operating independently with a high degree of seniority. Architecture Deployment: Design, build, deploy, and maintain cost-effective, multi-tier cloud architectures (load balancers, web/app servers, databases, platform services) to provide reliable and efficient services for our global platform. Infrastructure as Code: Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform to automate deployment of cloud resources, enabling consistent and repeatable delivery. Troubleshooting & Support: Perform hands-on troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure issues and provide advanced support for business-critical projects to maintain optimal uptime and performance. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and service records to share knowledge and ensure compliance with standards. Qualifications
Cloud Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure in production, including supporting complex 24/7 systems. (Any exposure to IoT or hybrid cloud environments is a bonus.). AWS with some multi-cloud (esp Azure) experience is preferred. System Design: Proven ability to design and operate scalable, fault-tolerant systems, with attention to performance optimization and cost management. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree. Containers & Orchestration: Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker on Windows/Linux, and orchestration with Kubernetes. DevOps Tools: Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps (or other Git-based CI/CD platforms) and configuration management tools like Ansible, as well as Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform). Scripting: Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python to streamline tasks and workflows. Database & Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking and experience working with databases. Bruker is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
