We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated ServiceNow Lead Developer to join our Client's team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions that drive process automation and IT service management (ITSM) initiatives across the organization. As a technical leader, you will oversee development best practices, mentor developers, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and contribute to long-term platform strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including senior leadership, business users, and technical teams. Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and development of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/Asset, and others Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions using ServiceNow best practices Develop and maintain: Workflows, business rules, UI policies, client/server scripts, REST/SOAP integrations, Scoped applications, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub features Provide technical leadership to ServiceNow developers and ensure quality and governance standards are met Oversee integration efforts with third-party systems using MID Servers, APIs, and external tools Manage code deployments across environments using update sets, application repositories, or DevOps pipelines Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and lead internal training sessions Maintain platform stability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring and optimization Stay current with ServiceNow product releases, features, and best practices Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with multiple successful implementations 5+ years as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead on ServiceNow projects Deep expertise in core ServiceNow modules: Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Knowledge, Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment, Discovery Strong technical skills in: JavaScript, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations, HTML/CSS, AngularJS Experience with: ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Scoped Apps, Service Graph, CSDM, and ITOM automation Ability to design and optimize scalable, secure, and performant ServiceNow solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automated testing tools (ATF, Jenkins, Git) Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM frameworks and process design Experience interacting with senior leadership and providing technical consulting ServiceNow certifications strongly preferred: Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM, ITOM, or other product-specific certifications Codeworks has over 25 years of experience serving Fortune 1000 companies in Wisconsin as well as our client's national locations. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable. All full-time Codeworks employees are eligible to enroll in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Additionally, employees can participate in Codeworks’ 401(k) retirement plan.
