Process instrumentation and equipment used in the operating room according to manufacturers' recommendations and hospital policy and procedure. Apply the principles of universal precautions and asepsis to provide optimum, safe patient care. Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments in accordance with manufacturer requirements, universal sterilization guidelines and organizational policies and procedures. Generate, collect, possess, and communicate information effectively within the scope of the role of a central supply partner. Report collected data accurately and completely relating to the biological and quality testing of sterilization equipment. Identify emergent and urgent situations and use sound judgement in instituting established procedures and correct situations in a calm and efficient manner. Other duties as assigned Requirements
Minimum: High school diploma Preferred: Provisional certified, certified central sterile training/education Minimum: Four hundred (400) hours in surgical setting License/Certification Requirements : None Equal Opportunity Employer.
