Senior Budget Administrator . The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California, is an academic institute comprised of an expert panel of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) through innovative clinical trials. Duties Participate with Neurotranslational Division Director in the preparation of proposals, data agreements, material transfers, and service agreements within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines. Develop, prepare, and finalize project budgets and provide budget justification. Serve as primary liaison and active partner between Neurotranslational Division Director, research groups, and other departments. Collaborate with Office of Sponsored Research to ensure awards are set up properly and cost-sharing requirements are fulfilled. Review and reconcile expenditures, advise on post-award spending and commitment activity, and oversee compliance related to fund and revenue. Develop and communicate reports supporting project status, create effective forecasting and decision aids, and participate in contract closeout process. Understand, apply, and advise on university and government policies for projects. Act as a resource on subject area and overall technical resource to Division Director and other University staff. Participate in and contribute to process improvements and lead other staff in group projects. The annual base salary range for this position is $90,802.48 - $125,983.52. Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum Experience: 3 years of demonstrated budget experience. Minimum Skills: Knowledge of government and fund accounting, generally accepted accounting principles and practices, and strong analytical, qualitative, communication, interpersonal, organization, guidance, computer, and spreadsheet skills.
