Director of Engineering

to lead its engineering organization. In this role, you’ll set the strategic technology vision, oversee the design and delivery of secure and scalable software, and mentor a team of talented engineering managers, leads, and developers. You’ll play a pivotal role in modernizing a mission-critical application, championing DevOps practices, and fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals and industry standards. Technology Modernization : Drive the migration of a legacy VB6 application to a modern, microservices-based .NET platform. Engineering Excellence : Oversee development of scalable, secure, and high-quality SaaS applications. Champion best practices in code quality, CI/CD, observability, and automated testing. Team Building & Mentorship : Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Product, Design, Data, and QA teams to deliver customer-focused features on time and within budget. Innovation & Emerging Tech : Introduce cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud-native architectures, and PaaS/IaaS solutions to enhance scalability and performance. Governance & Compliance : Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards in accounting and financial software. Performance Management : Establish KPIs for productivity, quality, and reliability. Use data and telemetry to guide decision-making. Key Skills & Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience building and leading engineering teams, including 5+ years in senior SaaS leadership. Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, SQL/NoSQL, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, and DevOps practices. Strong track record of delivering complex SaaS solutions at scale. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and SDLC governance. Strong understanding of software/data security, compliance, and governance. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Preferred Experience in accounting, financial, or hospitality software.
