Sales Engineer – Northeast Region Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to support and grow our motion control business across the Northeast states, including Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Upstate New York. The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeast, preferably near Boston, MA or Hartford, CT. This role combines technical expertise with strong sales skills to drive business development and customer success. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute targeted industry and segment-specific sales strategies as part of a collaborative sales and engineering team. Support and manage relationships with distribution partners as an integral part of the regional sales approach. Engage with direct customers across diverse industrial and commercial applications, providing expert product knowledge and solutions. Deliver consultative sales presentations and technical guidance at all levels of customer organizations. Manage the assigned territory to meet strategic growth and financial objectives. Negotiate pricing and project terms in collaboration with sales management. Conduct regular sales calls and maintain strong relationships with end users, system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners. Network with industry trade associations and professional peers to generate leads and build business opportunities. Demonstrate product solutions onsite and provide comprehensive customer support. Continuously gather market intelligence to support product and sales strategy improvements. Perform additional duties as required to meet business goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical sales experience of 10+ years. Minimum 5 years of direct field sales experience in automation or motion control products. Proven ability to sell complex technical products in the factory automation market. Strong understanding of competitive products, market channels, and sales strategies. Skilled in solution selling and consultative sales methodologies. Experience managing various sales channels including distributors, value-added resellers, integrators, and representatives. Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and marketing teams to manage proposals and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers from proposal stage through to order fulfilment. Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for territory travel.
