Responsibilities
Structural Design & Analysis: Engineer rock-solid structural designs for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Perform detailed calculations and simulations to ensure integrity, safety, and compliance with regulations.
Think creatively to provide innovative solutions that exceed client expectations.
Review technical drawings, reports, and specifications to ensure precision.
Project Management & Coordination: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources; work with architects, contractors, and engineers to bring designs to life.
Oversee construction documents, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers; lead technical discussions and foster continuous learning; stay ahead of industry trends.
Client Interaction: Be the go-to structural expert; meet with clients, architects, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress; build and maintain strong client relationships.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure designs meet local, national, and international building codes; conduct quality reviews of junior engineers’ work; support green building initiatives where possible.
Continuous Improvement: Help refine engineering processes, tools, and standards; learn from each project and implement improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
PE License required (SE, PMP, LEED, or ENV SP a plus).
7+ years of structural engineering experience (more is better).
Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Strong understanding of AISC, ACI, IBC, and other building codes.
Project management experience with budgets, timelines, and resources.
Exceptional communication skills—because engineering is a team sport.
Problem-solving mindset with a passion for tackling complex challenges.
Bonus Points
Experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with sustainable design and green building certifications.
Experience in contract management and negotiations.
Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
