Corporate Engineering Principal

at Via, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the internal systems and tools that power our corporate operations. This is an engineering role with a dotted line to the strategic finance team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, scalable, and efficient solutions that enhance internal workflows and data integrations. Youll explore and apply AI capabilities to streamline corporate processes and unlock new efficiencies across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can work independently, thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving operational excellence through technology. This role is based in NYC, with a hybrid in-office schedule. What You'll Do: Design, develop, and maintain internal corporate engineering systems, including data pipelines, automation tools, and integrations between business-critical platforms. Collaborate with Finance, Data Science, People, and Operations teams to understand business needs and implement technical solutions that optimize efficiency. Lead the architecture and implementation of internal applications, workflow automation, and infrastructure improvements. Create reliable and scalable systems and solutions. Monitor the outputs of your processes, proactively correcting discrepancies to ensure data reliability and accuracy. Incorporate AI and machine learning capabilities into workflows to automate processes and boost productivity, ensuring smarter and faster decision-making across the organization. Who You Are: A problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys working across teams to build impactful solutions. A self-driven learner, comfortable working independently in a complex technological environment. Technologically curious, capable of identifying needs, designing POCs, and implementing scalable solutions. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering, corporate engineering, or related fields. Strong programming skills in Python .

Java or other backend languages are a plus. Expertise in designing and managing scalable data pipelines and system integrations. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases, ETL processes, and data transformation tools (DBT, Airflow, or equivalent). Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques to automate workflows or optimize business operations is a plus. Familiarity with enterprise software solutions such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, or financial systems is a plus. Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau is a plus. Bachelors Degree and a record of exceptional academic achievement. Compensation and Benefits: Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience, knowledge, and skills.
