Overview

Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking a Lead Superintendent. The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for safety, scheduling, budget, quality and customer satisfaction with the trade or section in its entirety. Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and their subcontractors to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule. Develop, document, and communicate the work plan regarding changes made in the field. Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to plan ahead and anticipate potential problems. Ensure subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes. Establish credibility among Owners, trade contractors, unions, etc., by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment. Verify safety compliance with all trades; act as primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies. Lead contractor meetings regularly. Maintain daily reports and documentation using Procore. Create, manage, and update the project schedule; implement contingency plans when necessary. Communicate schedule status, updates, and changes to the Project Team and Trade Contractors. Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics. Oversee the project quality plan and implement necessary changes. Resolve jurisdictional disputes. Track production as needed. Execute self-performing capabilities, workforce planning, and quantify material needs. Forecast and project cost of work. Train direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks. Manage workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with company standards. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members. Assist in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports. Experience / Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management. 7–10 years of experience on $15 million or larger commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role. Experience leading components and/or a whole project. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong technical and communication skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities; ability to adapt to changing needs. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate daily with the project team. Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Procore, Primavera Scheduling, and CMIC preferred. Knowledge of construction documentation and drawings, and all phases of construction. Experience in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control. Strong knowledge of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan. Ability to foster a “safety first” culture across trades with incident- and injury-free attitude. OSHA 30-hour certification. Compensation & Benefits

Salary to be determined based on location, skills, education, and experience, with consideration for internal equity. For Wisconsin, ranges from $105,000 to $140,000 plus benefits and retirement program. Additional Information
