10805 - Sr. Systems Analysis and Verification Engineer
The Sr. Systems Analyst & Verification Engineer position projects focused on the delivery of Telematics and Connectivity Services solutions. This role encompasses responsibilities including requirements analysis, end-to-end testing, audit support, guidance and support to other team members. This position is part of the Connect Mobility Center Development Department. You will interact with all levels and teams in the organization. As a Sr. Systems Analysis and Verification Engineer, you are responsible for the verification strategy (outline test methods, test facilities and align to product requirements) and for reporting on test readiness, test results and product technical risks of new complex projects and quality testing and audit support. You will work with support and operations vendor partners to achieve objectives and provide day-to-day direction and prioritization, and will contribute to ensuring high-quality project delivery. Responsibilities
Overall accountability for detailed analysis and quality project deliverables (Business / IT Solution). Lead business requirement discussions with business stakeholders and relevant departments to understand business requirements, design the business solutions and map them to technical functionalities. Gather, analyze, translate, design and document business requirements into appropriate business requirement documents and detailed functional specifications. Design and document processes into standard operating procedures. Conduct gap analysis on processes to identify improvement opportunities and propose/evaluate alternative solutions to fulfill business needs. Manage and conduct Business User Acceptance Testing including delivering test strategy, test plan, test cases and exit report. Collaborate with Product teams to translate telematics feature specifications/requirements into high-quality, timely deliverables as a hands-on QA member in telematics product validation activities. Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents, and specifications for testing connected car telematics platforms. Analyze and report production issues and ticket trends; provide recommendations. Estimate test case writing and execution efforts and track progress. Lead and mentor junior analysts and other team members. Author test cases and conduct test case reviews with stakeholders. Execute test cases, including functional, smoke, regression, and integration tests. Research and analyze product features being tested. Participate in elaboration of user stories and associated acceptance criteria. Review User Interfaces for consistency and functionality. Create and execute test plans to discover bugs and quality issues in software. Record test progress and results; analyze testing metrics to identify systemic issues, trends and escaped defects. Report, track, validate, and close defects. Record test results and provide reporting. Participate in daily scrum meetings and system design sessions to advise on testability of new features. Support processes by tracking and gathering metrics on testing activities. Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development, emphasizing analysis of requirements, test design, and tool selection. Use metrics in quantitative project management to identify areas for improvement. Provide innovative solutions for a more efficient testing strategy. Assess current testing tools and technology and develop steps to improve and expand them. Production issue tracking, troubleshooting, ticket creation/maintenance, ticket assignments, and vendor follow-up. Support testing efforts by engaging in troubleshooting and providing solutions to issues. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 7 – 10 years of systems analysis, quality assurance or project IT experience. At least 5 years of experience in designing and writing specs for business systems and functional testing. Work with the team to determine product quality and release readiness standards. Significant experience in creating and managing automated test suites. Demonstrated ability to work with various QA/Testing tools and technologies. Experience with Web, Web Service/API, and Mobile software applications testing. Demonstrated effective leadership and timely communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under extreme time constraints and meet critical deadlines. Understanding of customer schedules and requirements, and the technology/product development needed to meet customer expectations. Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical resources. Ability to influence others and collaborate with stakeholders while maintaining an executive presence. Experience with full SDLC for solution delivery. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft products (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio and Confluence. Data analysis skills (SQL data extraction, exporting to Excel, data manipulation, report formatting and analysis). Ability to receive high-level direction and move a project from start to finish with minimal assistance. Experience preparing and leading client technical presentations.
