Director of Preconstruction
to lead and evolve their estimating department. This is a strategic leadership role with direct impact on business growth, proposal development, and operational excellence. Role Overview
The Director of Preconstruction will be responsible for setting standards, overseeing execution, and managing staffing and training within the estimating function. This role works closely with executive leadership and business unit heads to drive strategic planning and secure new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Lead estimating strategy aligned with corporate goals Oversee estimating team and ensure consistency in execution Manage proposal development and presentation processes Build and maintain estimating databases and subcontractor networks Identify growth opportunities and support project development from concept to contract Foster relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams Ensure alignment with company-wide strategic initiatives Supervise estimating manager and indirectly oversee a team of 10+ estimators Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field 15+ years of experience in construction and business development Deep understanding of construction processes and project execution Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Proven ability to lead strategic pursuits and develop innovative solutions Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet pre-employment requirements Benefits Include
