Staff Construction Engineer - Southern CA
Our Construction Management Group is growing in the West Region (Arizona, California, Washington). We are looking for a Staff Construction Engineer with on-time and budget delivery capabilities to provide construction phase support services to multiple projects with a construction value up to $15M each. This position can be located in Irvine, San Diego, Long Beach, Tustin, or Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities
External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice. Construction Management: Supervise others on a construction project, working within established operational systems. Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization\'s HSE policies and procedures, identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of self and others, instruct the team in safe working methods, and escalate serious issues as appropriate. Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates to achieve timelines. Leadership and Direction: Communicate the local action plan and motivate the team to achieve local business goals. Performance Management: Manage personal and team objectives, allocate work, monitor completion, and ensure timeliness and quality. Organizational Capability Building: Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills. Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes; implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor effectiveness. Operational Compliance: Identify noncompliance with policies or regulatory codes and escalate issues as appropriate. Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client relationships using relevant sales or client systems. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and management experience. Minimum 3 years of experience as Project Manager/Engineer, Construction Manager, and/or Resident Engineer on multiple simultaneous construction projects. Current Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; EIT, Professional Engineer in the State of California; Inspector of Record; CMAA or other industry memberships. Salary
Salary Range: $87,000 - $145,000 About the role
