Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Automation Team to design and develop custom factory equipment across Additive Manufacturing and Automation applications, advancing the next generation of DAPS. The Role
Ownership of industrial electrical systems engineering from conceptual system architecture through final schematics, drawings, and build of complete electrical systems. Collaborate with mechanical, controls, software, manufacturing, and process engineers to co-develop novel manufacturing equipment, including metal 3D printing systems, powder handling systems, manufacturing systems, automatic robotic assembly, material removal, and coating lines. Drive electrical engineering standards and best practices across the DAPS manufacturing modules. Drive insourcing vs. outsourcing decisions for designs, partnering with key vendors and internal development operations teams. Basic Qualifications
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5 years of relevant industry experience or 8 years of relevant industry experience. Experience with EPlan, AutoCAD or other CAD systems. Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 79, and UL508A. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher. Knowledge of electrical certification for industrial systems in the US and Europe (UL/NFPA and ISO/IEC standards). Strong knowledge of EPlan Electric P8 and/or ProPanel with experience maintaining parts libraries and macros. Experience designing for long product lifecycles (decades). Experience designing harness assemblies in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, EPlan Harness, SolidWorks). Experience with common industrial PLC, HMI, and Motion Control systems. Office-based role, collaborating closely with automation and AM development teams. Pay Range
