Summary of Position This role is an individual contributor position focusing on the technical leadership of embedded electronic design and the product development lifecycle for SharkNinja’s product roadmap. The successful candidate will have experience in analog and digital embedded design, including hardware (schematic capture and PCB layout) and firmware (C and ASM), preferably in consumer products or similar. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to define the product electrical and firmware architecture, works with contract manufacturers and the global electrical engineering team to implement designs, conducts timely reviews with the broader team, and monitors progress. The role requires familiarity with all product development aspects such as team task tracking, BOM cost tracking, DFMEA, documentation, and PLM systems. Responsibilities Collaborate with our global multi-disciplinary team to define, design, build, and test our next generation products across the product lifecycle from initial conception to mass production with new ideas and out-of-the-box engineering solutions. Propose circuit topologies to comply with requirements. Design and build prototypes to test and validate new concepts or create new development tools. Research new technologies with constant learning of what would be possible for use tomorrow. Participate in peer design reviews. Think critically about new product concepts, and ask provocative questions necessary for positive change. Generation of test protocols and test reports per SharkNinja specifications; proactively communicating status of testing efforts; automate the test procedures when needed. Review and interpret test results providing feedback on product improvement solutions. Analyze EBOMs and CBOMs to control cost and drive cost reduction of solutions. Participate in DVT and DFMEA analysis and improvement. Support quality improvement teams by analyzing returns, identifying failure modes and recommending actions. Tear down, debugging, and analysis of consumer products. Participate in EMC, Safety and Homologation testing for global markets. Minimum Qualifications BSc in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Understanding of hardware basic design for embedded processors, power supplies, signal filtering, sensors, serial communication standards, EMI. 1-2 years of experience or related intern experience in product design and development for the industry. Understand basic test protocols for electronic systems. Ability to communicate and analyze test results to a broader team. Experience with analysis/measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers.
