Overview

A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. They design and implement manufacturing methods, tools, and equipment, and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement. They ensure products are manufactured cost-effectively and meet the desired quality standards. Responsibilities

Process Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Product Design Support: Collaborate with product designers and engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet production requirements. Tooling and Equipment Selection: Select and design tools, equipment, and machinery. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain or improve product quality and consistency. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective methods for high-quality production. Production Planning: Develop production schedules, set labor standards, and establish workflows. Process Documentation: Meticulously document all manufacturing process information. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and method improvements, implement changes, and monitor effectiveness. Equipment and Technology Upgrades: Identify and implement new equipment, technologies, and methodologies to increase production and reduce scrap. Problem-Solving: Assist in troubleshooting production issues to maintain delivery schedules and quality. Quality System Compliance: Follow industry-specific regulations and quality system protocols as applicable (e.g., ISO standards, FDA regulations). CAPA and DMR: Participate in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and determine Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) disposition plans with quality and production teams. Validation and Documentation: Execute Design of Experiments (DOE), validations, and control plans; provide documentation for compliance and continuous improvement. OneTSS Support: Actively support production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes, quality control, and use of industry-specific tools and software. Competencies

The final compensation offered may be based on geography, work experience, and skill level. Additional compensation elements (paid time off, insurance benefits, 401(k) eligibility) will be outlined at the time of the job offer.
