Analytical Development: Create investigational techniques to characterize medicines and develop/validate core analytical tests. Downstream Process Development: Take ownership of internship projects and contribute to developing manufacturing processes, including chromatography, filtration, study design, and process scale-up. Technical Operations: Work in a data-rich manufacturing environment to develop modeling for process analytical technology (PAT) and support method life-cycle management and process understanding. Vector Core: Learn bioprocessing of viral vectors and assist staff in process development and production of viral vectors to support Vertex Cell and Genetic Therapies programs. What You Will Need To Succeed

Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology with heavy automation, or a related field. Legal authorization to work in the United States now and in the future. Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry-level roles within this part of the organization. Enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before June 2026. Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January – June 2026. Program Details
