Overview

Senior Process Engineer role for a construction and engineering firm serving commercial, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. Location: Atlanta, GA. The position begins with a 90-day onsite period, after which a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) is available. Travel is required during major phases of construction projects. Key Responsibilities

Support process engineering activities across construction projects, from early design through commissioning. Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs) and ensure consistency across engineering deliverables. Gather production and process requirements, including capacities, materials, and utilities. Create project schedules, establish milestones, allocate resources, and assess risks to ensure successful execution of construction projects. Apply knowledge of local codes and regulations, explaining requirements to clients and negotiating effectively with subcontractors. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on RFQs, equipment procurement, and drawing reviews. Support installation of process equipment, piping, and related systems at job sites. Collaborate with project managers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards. Provide guidance to consultants and contractors, and proactively resolve challenges as they arise. Qualifications

5+ years of engineering experience in the construction industry with strong process knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical preferred) Project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity Experience reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across engineering deliverables Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent design/modeling tools Experience with process equipment installation, piping systems, and construction site execution Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal oversight Willingness to travel as required during major project phases Preferred

Bilingual in Japanese and English is a plus Seniority level
