Operations Manager

at Thompson Seattle! Located in Downtown Seattle, the Operations Manager plays an integral part of leading the vision of our food and beverage and rooms operations reporting directly to the Director of Operations. We're looking for an individual who embodies the luxury lifestyle experience. An ideal Thompson team member has a desire for creating unique experiences, that can quickly perpetuate a culture of great design and superlative service, with a sharp sense of humor. This candidate will have a passion for exceptional hotel service and who can express that belief in an atmosphere of spontaneity and authenticity. Those interested in applying should have experience in food and beverage operations and a desire to expand their knowledge into rooms operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. You should have an excellent understanding of food and beverage trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements as well as a general knowledge of Front Desk and Housekeeping.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage banquet events, ensuring all client requirements are met. Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews. Coordinate with the sales, culinary, and event planning teams to ensure smooth execution. Oversee the setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of banquet spaces. Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and manage purchasing as needed. Be able to flex to other outlets as necessary to ensure efficiency and excellence in service delivery. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency. Create detailed reports post-event, including feedback and areas for improvement.

Full time, part time and on-call colleagues accrue and have the right to utilize sick and safe time according to Seattle's Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. As a Tier Three employer all colleagues accrue one (1) hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked starting on their hire date, however, these colleagues cannot use their accrued sick time until they have completed 90-days of employment with Hyatt Extended Illness Days: unused sick and safe time in excess of 72 hours converted to Extended Illness Days at the end of each calendar year Holiday Pay: Full-time colleagues are eligible for holiday pay on their first day of employment. The paid holidays for eligible colleagues recognized by our hotel are: New Year\'s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and 2 pre-approved days for Floating Holidays.

The hourly rate for this position is $36.40, annualized at $75,712 salary based on 40 number of hours.
