Job Description We are seeking a General Ledger (GL) Manager to join a dynamic accounting team. This role will be responsible for overseeing general ledger activities, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. The GL Manager will play a key role in the month-end close process, fixed asset accounting, and preparation of audit schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis for cash, investments, inventory, receivables, and accrued liabilities.
Prepare and review journal entries and allocations related to membership or project-based costs.
Document and maintain procedures related to the monthly close process.
Oversee data compilation for regulatory and government filings.
Manage and maintain fixed asset records using accounting software and generate related reports.
Prepare schedules for external audits and assist with audit requests from government and independent auditors.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
4–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based systems.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
