We’re searching for a

Systems Analyst (Epic Hospital Billing/Claims/ Epic MyChart) , someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will review, analyze, and modify programming systems including configuration, testing, debugging, and documenting applications. You will also consult with customers to identify current operation procedures and to clarify program objectives. Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management and performing minor modifications to the application. Think you’ve got what it takes?

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Translates users’ needs into detail requirement specifications

Identifies system or application needs

Analysis of current business practices, user needs and workflow processes

Document the current as is & to be business processes

Perform vendor analysis and make recommendations

Investigate alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from vendor analysis/evaluations

Supports the system installation through the implementation cycle

Performs configuration analysis for system design associated medium sized projects of average complexity

Analyzes system problems and modifications

Coordinates implementation and upgrades of complex systems

Skills & Requirements

Required H.S. Diploma or GED

Preferred bachelor’s degree

Required at least 7 years' experience in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or nursing

Preferred hospital information systems experience

Epic MyChart – web build experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience. Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience

Up to two (2) years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two (2) years of information systems experience on a month-to-month basis

Highly preferred: experience implementing and supporting "Epic Community Connect"
