SAAH continues the decades long goal of keeping our community pets healthy by using the best equipment, computer based cloud software, and offering advanced surgery and dentistry procedures. Our hospital has recently moved to a newly renovated property in the western section of Central San Rafael and near the 101 Freeway. We are very close to specialty and emergency hospitals; which we interact with daily. Mobile surgeons, radiologists and internists frequent our hospital, so you will learn a lot! Responsibilities Triage pets and interview pet owners to obtain a patient history Acquire samples from patients Assist with surgeries, monitor anesthesia and provide pre/post-operative care Perform radiographs and other in-house treatments Administer medications Provide client education regarding treatments, procedures, and medications Keep accurate patient records Qualifications Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role Knowledge of animal care and handling Excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment Patience and a love for animals
