Overview
The Residential Manager is responsible for management of a Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) funded group home for adults with intellectual disabilities. The Residential Manager works in the home to promote residents’ health and safety, community integration, and person-centered support to pursue individual goals and be as independent as possible. This role works collaboratively with program staff, families, day programs, and DDS. This is a great role for someone who enjoys interacting with others; the Residential Manager is responsible for setting a friendly and welcoming tone for all.

$200/wk stipend for on-call rotation weeks
Full-time, weekdays
On-site work at the group home location in Newton
Paid time off includes ample sick time and 22 days of vacation, in addition to national and some Jewish holidays
Immediate eligibility for medical insurance, dental, vision, retirement plan; no waiting period
Responsibilities of the Residential Manager
Supervise and train staff team including: onboarding program and resident specific trainings, monthly 1:1 supervisions, monthly staff meetings, evaluations, and as needed trainings
Manage staff scheduling, call-outs, and relief coverage
Coordinate all program day-to-day operations including administrative, facility, financial, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate all client care including medical management, skill development, and social/recreational activities
Complete paperwork to meet DDS regulations regarding service planning, as well as medical and financial management
Requirements of the Residential Manager
At least one year experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting
Bachelor’s degree in related field or at least five years’ experience
Supervisory experience preferred
Ability to be flexible in schedule
Ability to make safe, consistent, and effective clinical decisions in crisis and non-crisis situations
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, as well as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate residents’ goals/activities, operations, and staffing patterns
Ability to pass First Aid/CPR/MAP trainings within 90 days
A valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle (mileage is reimbursed)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Outlook
