What You'll Do: The

Recovery Support Specialist (RSS)

provides individuals with natural supports proven instrumental in maintaining a strong and successful recovery. The RSS demonstrates strong personal recovery and serves as a positive example that recovery is achievable. The RSS collaborates with multiple disciplines to meet treatment and recovery needs. Acts as an active facilitator (or co-facilitator) in groups and individual recovery sessions. Serves as an advocate and support resource throughout treatment. Works to reduce seclusion and restraint by building therapeutic alliances and exercising trauma-informed care. Demonstrates knowledge of community resources to meet individual recovery needs and promotes multiple paths of recovery equally. Works cohesively with a multidisciplinary team through all aspects of treatment and recovery. Documents all encounters with individuals in the electronic health record. Encourages and supports from a place of experience and understanding, willing to use appropriate self-disclosure. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications

What You'll Bring: High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Peer Support (CPS) certification required Registered with Washington State Care Authority Ability to perform Safe Clinch restraint techniques Experience with behavioral health recovery or as a parent/guardian of a child with behavioral health needs, with at least one year of recovery experience Mandatory vaccination policy: must be fully vaccinated or exempt prior to start date Complete credentialing requirements, including obtaining NPI, Medallion, Medicare enrollment, and other necessary credentials Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card for Washington State It would be great if you had: Experience in behavioral health/substance use treatment or GMH recovery Completion of Washington State HCA CPC 40-hour training and exam Specialized peer certifications (e.g., WHAM, ASIST) Knowledge of evidence-based/person-centered skills such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Verbal De-escalation, Harm Reduction, and person-centered language What We Offer: Full-time benefits include: Comprehensive health insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.) Company-paid Basic Life, AD&D, Short and Long-Term Disability Voluntary Life insurance Health Savings Accounts with employer contributions Flexible Spending Accounts 401k with company match after 6 months Generous PTO and company holidays All employees (Pool, Part-time, Full-time): Employee Assistance Program Automatic 401k enrollment after 90 days The typical hiring range in Washington is $24.00/hour.
