Our exciting programs are dynamic in nature and focus on significant geo-political trends. The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program is seeking a high potential and high-performing leader with relevant Program Management experience and demonstrated ability to collaborate proactively within diverse teams to support program performance execution excellence. FBM develops, designs, produces, maintains, and replenishes submarine-launched ballistic missiles capable of flying more than 4,000 nautical miles with a full payload. This position manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types for the FBM LE Sustainment Program. Directs and manages costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution. Acts as the main focal point to the program management office and navy counterpart for the sustainment contract. Responsible for and directs all proposal activity for all subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability and developing/implementing strategic initiatives. Establishes proposal milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a team normally composed of supply chain and procurement personnel. Engages with program leaders and navy counterparts, presents to executives the health of the suppliers, performance metrics weekly, program management reviews, and develops strategy to improve our resiliency. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either: Denver, Colorado, or Titusville, FL, and be expected to work in the office. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education. 10+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (e.g., Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, proposal, and/or Category Management). Previous formal leadership experience. Experience with monthly program management business rhythm and coordination with functional organizations. Knowledgeable in the collection, analysis, and reporting of program management and technical data. Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM), and/or Control Account Management (CAM). US citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, and pass a drug and background check to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 3+ years of current experience on large cost plus government programs. Understanding and aptitude for engineering fundamentals, with ability to be technical liaison between Supply Chain and Engineering. Experience with managing all contract types: Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, Firm Fixed Price. Technical knowledge of missile products, Ground Systems and services. Proven record of managing and delivering critical, large subcontract products, with focus on complex development subcontracts to deliver on time and within budget. Proven record of successful performance with focus on mission success. Must have executive presence. Ability to develop strong supplier relationships. Must be detail oriented, possess strong communication and leadership skills and be capable of seamlessly integrating into a cohesive team-oriented environment. Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers. Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
