Nursing Home - Food Service Director.
The Director will be responsible for handling all duties surrounding the staffing, preparation, stocking, serving, and safety of the food service for the Nursing Home. Registered Dietitian background is a big plus. Sk illed Nursing Home experience is a must. The facility is a part of a large, stable, and successful Healthcare company and there are many opportunities for continued education and professional growth. Supervise and schedule the Food Services Department staff and ensure all shifts are covered Ensure all foods prepared by cooks or assistant cooks are prepared on time and according to the posted cycle menus. Ensure all logs posted in the Food Services Department are updated daily and in proper order. Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services. Participate in all DOH and other agency surveys (inspections) Assist in developing safety standards for the Food Services Department. Monitor food services service personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies. Ensure that food services service work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Ensure that all food services personnel follow established departmental policies and procedures, including appropriate dress codes. Ensure that stock levels of staple or non-staple food, supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained at adequate levels at all times. Assist in the purchasing of food service supplies, equipment, etc., as required Requirements
Registered Dietitian Preferred Knowlegeableof kosher dietary rules Must have Skilled Nursing Home experience (minimum 3 years preferred) Must have Food Service supervisory/management experience (minimum at least 3 years) Experience in DOH survey process Must be ServSafe Certified
