ON-CALL BANQUET SERVER The Darcy is a boutique hotel in Washington DC with meeting and event space, offering chic accommodations and distinctive dining. Banquet Server
to join our polished and professional team—someone who brings infectious pride, acts with integrity, and takes ownership in everything they do. Job Location: The Darcy Hotel Washington DC 1515 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington DC 20005 Position Summary: As a Banquet Server you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, setting up and breaking down banquet functions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Job Description Responsibilities
Event Setup and Breakdown
Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces. Break down banquet rooms after events, cleaning and storing equipment.
Guest Service
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. Anticipate guests' needs and respond to their requests promptly. Maintain a positive and attentive attitude throughout the event.
Food and Beverage Service
Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Serve food and beverages according to established service standards. Clear tables and reset for the next course.
Teamwork
Collaborate with other team members, including banquet captains, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations. Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
Additional Duties
Assist with event planning and coordination as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in banquet or restaurant service preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain). Compensation/Job Classification
