Responsibilities
Measures and reports EHS performance, operational resource efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous waste, energy consumption, and safety information for the designated region to assigned regional lead
Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or conditions in the workplace and its associated operations.
Coordinates with contracted services including contractors, suppliers & subcontractors
Interfaces with local leadership, key external organizations or regulatory bodies within or related to site, business, sub-region or country
Assesses environmental and workplace conditions, incident reports, and recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment that are identified as deficient
Delivers site EHS trainings and monitors training compliance
Supports the completion of corrective actions
Anticipates, analyses, monitors, and prevents EHS hazards that could be present in the work area. Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or conditions in the workplace and its associated operations.
Participates and aides in the maintenance process for Zebra certified Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum Work Experience (years): 2-5 years of relevant experience
Key Skills and Competencies:
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
Knowledge of data analysis for tracking incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
Understand stakeholder expectations and be able to balance competing priorities
Analytics, able to solve EHS problems of moderate complexity of where analyses of situations or data are required
Collaborative.
Ability to gain cooperation of others
Conducting presentations to gain acceptance and share ideas or tactical direction
Demonstrated current knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
Standards and general EHS requirements imposed by the organization and government agencies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint
Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of EHS regulations (local, national, and international standards, e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Risk assessment and hazard identification.
Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Development and implementation of safety programs and procedures.
Waste management and environmental compliance.
Emergency response planning and training.
Knowledge of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and occupational health.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills (to influence and educate employees at all levels).
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Attention to detail.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.
Leadership skills (even if not managing people, must lead initiatives and compliance efforts).
