Ambulatory Driver - San Francisco

Summary Description Drivers should be courteous and friendly and be able to deliver excellent customer service. Drivers must provide a current H6 DMV printout when applying (Valid 30 days from date of application), must pass a pre-employment drug screen test, pass DOJ/FBI background check, and pass a physical exam. Applicants' available work hours must be flexible, part-time to start with the opportunity for full-time status. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Conduct pre-inspection checks on all vehicles. Assist clients with a "through the door" service. Ensure all items or devices are stored away properly. Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner. Communicate with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns and/or issues. Education & Training High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license, Class C or commercial driver's license Class A or B with passenger endorsement. Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required. Knowledge and Experience Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles is a plus. Must have a driver's license for at least five (5) years. No more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at-fault accident in the last three (3) years. Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating areas using GPS. Core Competencies Ideal candidates should be self-motivated and responsible, have good communication skills, a positive attitude, and be willing to go the extra mile. Working Conditions Drivers must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Drivers must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and assist clients getting in and out of vehicles. Physical Requirements Drivers must be able to pass the physical exam. Lift up to 75 lbs, push and pull up to 200 lbs, bend from the waist, pivot from the waist, and be able to move from a standing position to a kneeling position and back to standing. Candidates must have a minimum 1-year clearance for DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. Other:
