Qualifications:
Experience directing various types of productions including large dramatic productions Experience working in theatre and an understanding of the technical aspects of theatre (preferred) Ability to teach, delegate, motivate, encourage, and mentor middle school students Ability to obtain rights, royalties, and scripts Ability to direct a spring and fall production Willingness and commitment to include equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices Experience with managing budgets and expenses for productions Experience conducting auditions, casting actors, and assigning crew positions Ability to organize costumes, props, front of house, and ticket sales Ability to schedule facility space and rehearsals Ability to market all drama activities and to create playbills Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Willingness to collaborate with vocal/instrumental staff, choreographer, and technical director Ability to organize parent volunteers Ability and willingness to work after school, evenings, and weekends for rehearsals and performances Ability to be enthusiastic and flexible Ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
