We are looking for a Director, EH&S, to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, applicable codes, and corporate policies pertaining to EH&S. As a Trex Director, EH&S, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to ensure all processes, systems, and culture are in place to provide a safe working environment for employees and stakeholders of the company. Put safety first – Always! Lead and foster our “people first” culture Create a culture in which safety is the top priority for all associates. The Director-EHS should define and build a strong culture that prioritizes safety. Establish relationships and exert influence to permeate the organization. Ensure all leaders think and act to achieve an accident-free workplace; establish a Zero Tolerance for unsafe acts and make working safely a condition of employment. Collaborate with HR and plant management to address safety violations swiftly and appropriately; ensure incidents are managed consistently with disciplinary actions. All accidents are preventable; balance high-frequency/low-severity and high-severity/low-frequency incident approaches. Develop incentives and systems that drive peer accountability for safety of individuals and the organization. Support environmental, health, and safety activities at the corporate level, including field sales and purchasing representatives. Develop systems that continuously improve safety performance. Architect and maintain safety-related systems, procedures, and policies; ensure they are continually updated. Employee Audit Program – create checklists, train employees to perform audits, and act on feedback; continuously improve the program. Job Hazard Analyses – create JHAs for all tasks, train employees, and update as needed. Data Analysis and Corrective Actions – gather data from audits and investigations, identify patterns, prioritize actions, and verify improvements in key safety metrics. Investigations and Follow-Up – investigate all recordable incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and irreversible corrective actions. Case Management – drive quick reporting and follow-up on issues to prevent escalation; manage Workers’ Compensation costs through improved case management. Maintain Handbook – keep safety policies and procedures up to date and train employees accordingly, including disciplinary actions. Training – train all new hires on safety policies and company expectations; maintain training compliance records. Teams – develop, lead Site Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team, and Industrial Fire Brigade. Budgeting – prepare the annual site budget based on forecasted sales, costs, and production requirements. Maintain Relationships and Compliance with External Entities – lead site environmental activities to comply with local, state, and federal rules; update permits as needed for expansions/acquisitions; manage industrial hygiene programs; coordinate site insurance activities; communicate with communities and stakeholders to understand and mitigate environmental impacts; conduct environmental due diligence on acquisitions. Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the safety team. Travel Requirements

Up to 25% overnight travel for conferences, meetings, and to other Trex Manufacturing sites. A valid driver’s license is required. Job Location

Full-Time/Regular Experience & Education

10 years of EH&S experience, including 7 years in an EH&S Management role in a manufacturing environment; bachelor’s degree required. Base Salary Range: $170,000–$195,000 annually. Eligible for an annual/ sales bonus in addition to base salary. Benefits & Perks
