Dermatology Mohs Surgery
to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Cares for patients with skin, hair, nail and mucous membrane conditions either as primary dermatologic diseases or secondary to other diseases. These include but are not limited to conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, infections and skin cancer. Assess suspicious skin lesions and perform biopsies. Interpret pathology slides during surgery. Perform Mohs micrographic surgery as indicated by the dermatologic condition and deliver the necessary after care. Perform complex reconstructions post-excision. Collaborate with dermatologists, pathologists, and plastic surgeons as needed. Performs required procedures such as: skin surgeries, excisions, biopsies or reconstructions. Prescribes therapies including but not limited to: topical therapies, oral medications, biologics and other treatments for skin conditions. Performs Mohs surgery on indicated lesions. Directs/performs surgical after care. Participates in development and maintenance of clinical pathways in coordination with other specialties to provide highly reliable, high-quality care for patients. Participates in quality improvement work. Provides review of cases referred to the medical staffs peer review committee on an ad hoc basis. Participates in recruitment and retention of physicians and APCs to the practice. Qualifications
MD or DO in Dermatology, BC/BE. BC/BE in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Proficiency in frozen section pathology and reconstructive techniques. Licensure in NM. Benefits
