Job purpose
Alpine Air is currently seeking an entry-level Human Resources Assistant to be located at their Provo, UT headquarters site. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, organized, and solution-focused individual to provide a wide range of support activities inside our Human Resources department. An important part of this role will be to act as the liaison between Human Resources and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Duties and responsibilities
The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: Assist with day to day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Assist in preparation of materials and/or reports requested by other departments or the FAA Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies) Administer recruiting and onboarding efforts, under direction of Director of Human Resources Coordinate the administrative portion of all new hires Coordinate the administrative portion of all terminations Provide accurate and timely information, communication, and administration of employee benefit plans Resolve with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations Assist in the maintenance and practice of an up-to-date Affirmative Action program and the administration of EEO/AA activities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Skills in organization, database management and coordination Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven track record in maintaining absolute confidentiality with regards to administrative and personnel matters encountered in the course of day-to-day work, and on all highly sensitive information Proven ability to plan, organize, and make decisions reflecting a high level of independent judgment, initiative, and discretion Excellent proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word (expert level) Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Ability to interact courteously and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds in a variety of situations Ability to interpret inquiries and problems and direct them to proper resources Ability to perform duties with little or no supervision Ability to learn, adapt to new systems and situations, and innovate to manage new complexities Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative Knowledge of and ability to interpret institutional policies, procedures and operations Must be able to type 50 WPM High school diploma required; BS/BA in administration or relevant field will be preferred
Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
This position is a Full-Time position, 35-40 hours per week, with competitive compensation, benefits, and 401k with matching employer contribution. Paid Time Off, eight paid holidays per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available immediately upon employment.
