The Lead Dosimetrist supports the activities of the dosimetry group, including personnel coverage calendar and daily operations. The Lead Dosimetrist will coordinate patient plan assignments, lead/support new initiatives and provide technical guidance to peer dosimetrists. Additional duties are to participate and present in contour/chart rounds at the discretion of the department leader. The Lead Dosimetrist supports and adheres to BHSF safety and compliance programs including, OSHA, HIPAA and the BHSF Code of Ethics. Qualifications
Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist Additional Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a physical science or RTT and/or a graduate of a JRCERT-accredited dosimetry program. A M.Sc. is preferred. Direct dosimetry experience and Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certified required. RTT experience from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is preferred. Experience with multiple treatment planning platforms, excellent communication skills, well-organized, meticulous and good technical skills is preferred. Previous experience in direct leadership is preferred.
Minimum Required Experience: 8 years required. Proton experience preferred. Eclipse and RayStation treatment planning system experience strongly preferred. Experience leading a team of Dosimetrists highly preferred. EOE, including disability/vets
