Vice President, Global Data Privacy & AI Governance

ROLE OBJECTIVE LIV Golf is seeking a Vice President, Global Data Privacy & AI Governance to shape and lead LIV Golf’s global privacy strategy while ensuring our use of data and AI technologies reflects the highest standards of accountability and ethics. Job Responsibilities: Design, lead, and manage LIV Golf’s global privacy and AI governance program. Advise senior leadership and the Board on strategic privacy and data governance risks, opportunities, and developments. Draft and implement global privacy and AI policies; build and maintain supporting standards, procedures, and training. Embed privacy-by-design and responsible AI practices across digital products, apps, partnerships, and marketing initiatives. Serve as lead counsel on global privacy and data protection matters. Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with international privacy and AI regulations. Lead regulatory engagement, including managing inquiries, investigations, and audits. Establish frameworks for cross-border data transfers and data sovereignty compliance. Lead privacy impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and data related risk assessments. Collaborate with the CISO and security function to ensure privacy obligations are met during security incidents. Define KPIs and audit mechanisms to monitor privacy program effectiveness. Partner with IT, Security, Product, Marketing, and P&C teams to ensure privacy and security are embedded across global operations. Develop and deliver privacy data ethics and AI governance training. Foster a company-wide culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical data use. Required Skills: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction preferred. 15+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, and technology transactions, ideally combining top-tier law firm and in-house experience. Deep expertise in global privacy regulations and emerging issues (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, AI regulation, biometrics, children’s privacy, digital marketing). Proven success leading a privacy program or legal function in a fast-paced, global organization. Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with ability to translate complex privacy issues into practical guidance. Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT strongly preferred. Industry background in sports, entertainment, or media is a plus. Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and cultures without direct authority.
